In partnership with the Casey Family Foundation, my team provided free-to-use, robust web-based portal tools to agencies assisting foster youth to create accessible websites to better communicate their organization’s events and opportunities. These tools helped organizations to create an online presence, by selecting from easy-to-use templates, and allowed them to automatically integrate with other online community providers—achieving synergy with other community agencies, and a single point for fostered youth to come to find information about area opportunities and services. They also contained a youth-user component that allowed for the storage and management of documents and other agency records (such as birth certificates, transcripts, and letters of recommendation) to aid in the continuity of care for youth after they emancipated from foster care services.
