Following the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, my team was engaged to provide a web-based software solution to assist affected residents of Mississippi in receiving critical resources to enable them to rebuild and return to their homes.

“The Phase II Homeowner Grant Assistance Program (HAP II) was designed by the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) and approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide grant assistance to qualifying homeowners who suffered damage to their primary residence as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD) was selected by MDA to provide counseling services for HAP II participants. In 2007, Pangea Foundation was selected by ECD to create a custom financial counseling software solution to facilitate the provision of comprehensive financial counseling services to assist families in developing a feasible recovery plan, assess their financial ability to accomplish their recovery goals, and assist them in executing their customized recovery plan.” (Source:
